BeamMe is developed and operated by Tim Fielder Enterprises, LLC. We designed BeamMe to help people create and share payment requests while collecting only the information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, understand, and improve the service.
This Privacy Policy explains what information BeamMe collects, how it is used, and what BeamMe does not collect.
When you create or use a BeamMe account, BeamMe may collect information such as your name, email address, and account identifier. This information is used to create and manage your account, authenticate you, provide BeamMe features, and support account recovery and deletion.
BeamMe uses Firebase services provided by Google for authentication and certain account and backend functions.
BeamMe may use the email address associated with your account to send communications about your account, security, the operation of BeamMe, changes to our terms or policies, product features and updates, support matters, and other information related to the BeamMe service.
Where permitted by applicable law, BeamMe may also send you information about BeamMe products, services, features, promotions, or offers that we believe may be relevant to BeamMe users.
You may opt out of optional or promotional email communications at any time using the unsubscribe method provided in those communications or through available BeamMe account settings.
We will maintain your communication preference and will not use an opt-out from optional communications to prevent delivery of messages reasonably necessary to operate, secure, administer, or provide your BeamMe account or service.
BeamMe may maintain information about your communication preferences, including whether you have opted out and when that preference was recorded, so that we can honor your choices.
You may provide payment-service handles or other information needed to create payment requests through services such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, or other supported payment platforms.
This information is used to create the payment links and payment requests you choose to generate.
BeamMe is not a payment processor and does not receive or hold money on your behalf.
A Beam may contain information you provide, such as a payment amount, memo or note, payment handles, seller or business information, and a Beam reference identifier.
This information is used to construct the payment request and route the payer to the appropriate payment service.
BeamMe does not maintain a transaction history showing whether payments requested through Beams were ultimately completed through external payment services.
BeamMe also does not intentionally send the contents of a Beam to its product analytics system. In particular, BeamMe Analytics does not receive the payment amount, memo or note, recipient information, payment handles, payment URLs, Beam reference identifier, or information claiming that an external payment was completed.
BeamMe maintains limited server-side information necessary to operate the service.
This may include your account identifier and operational information associated with your BeamMe account, such as the number of free or promotional Beams remaining and whether certain one-time benefits have been granted.
This operational information allows BeamMe to maintain account-level features across devices, reinstalls, and app sessions.
This data is separate from the contents of individual Beams and is not used to maintain a history of your payment requests or external payments.
BeamMe uses Apple App Store or Google Play purchasing systems for eligible digital purchases and RevenueCat to manage BeamMe Pro entitlement status.
BeamMe may receive information necessary to determine whether your account has an active BeamMe Pro entitlement or whether a purchase or restoration was successful.
BeamMe does not receive or store your full payment-card information for App Store or Google Play purchases.
BeamMe uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, evaluate product features, measure the effectiveness of product and service initiatives, and improve BeamMe.
Analytics may collect information about app and feature interactions, app/device information, and identifiers associated with an app installation.
BeamMe also records limited product events, such as when a Beam is generated, a free-use limit is reached, a promotional Beam grant occurs, a Pro offer is viewed, a purchase is started or successfully activates Pro, or the app is opened through a BeamMe campaign link.
Campaign measurement uses campaign-level information rather than information intended to identify an individual campaign recipient.
BeamMe does not intentionally send Beam contents or payment-request contents to Analytics. This includes payment amounts, memos or notes, recipient information, payment handles, payment URLs, Beam reference identifiers, and information claiming that an external payment was completed.
BeamMe does not use this analytics information to track users across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes.
Some BeamMe features use BeamMe-operated web services to display or route payment requests.
Information necessary to fulfill a Beam may be transmitted to these services so the payer can view the available payment options and continue to the payment service selected by the payer.
BeamMe does not use these services to determine or record whether an external payment was ultimately completed.
BeamMe relies on third-party services to provide portions of its functionality. These may include:
When you interact with a third-party service, information handled by that service is subject to its own privacy practices and terms.
BeamMe does not control how an external payment service processes information after you or a payer enters that service.

BeamMe does not sell your personal information.
BeamMe does not use BeamMe Analytics data for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.
BeamMe uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information it processes.
Information transmitted between BeamMe and its backend or third-party service providers is transmitted using encrypted network connections where supported by those services.
No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but BeamMe seeks to limit the information it collects and to use established service providers and security controls appropriate to the service.
BeamMe retains account and operational information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account functionality, meet legitimate operational or legal requirements, and resolve security or support issues.
Information processed by third-party service providers may also be retained according to those providers' applicable retention practices.
Communication preference and suppression information may be retained as reasonably necessary to ensure that BeamMe continues to honor an opt-out or unsubscribe request.
BeamMe provides a way for users to delete their BeamMe account.
Deleting your BeamMe account removes BeamMe-controlled account information and associated account-level Beam state as provided by the service's deletion process.
Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, honoring communication opt-outs, or other legitimate obligations.
Information maintained independently by third parties, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or external payment services, may be subject to those providers' own retention and deletion policies.

BeamMe is not intended for children under 13, and BeamMe does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that information from a child under 13 has been collected inappropriately, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy when BeamMe's features, technology, service providers, or privacy practices change.
When we make material changes, we may notify BeamMe account holders using the email address associated with their account, through the BeamMe app, or through another appropriate method. The updated policy will identify its effective date and, when appropriate, we may provide notice before the changes take effect.
